Your travel plans are important. We protect them with thoughtful data practices, strong encryption, and clear controls over what stays private.

Information we collect

When you sign up or create a workspace we gather basic account details like name, email, and profile photo. As you plan trips, we store itineraries, logistics, uploads, and comments you share with your crew.

  • Account info: name, email, avatar, authentication metadata.
  • Workspace content: trips, schedules, expenses, notes, files, and moodboard assets.
  • Device signals: language, approximate region, browser type, and interaction events to keep HonuTrip reliable.

How we use your data

HonuTrip uses your data to run the product, personalize your workspace, and improve the experience. We never sell personal data and only share it with trusted services required to power the app.

  • Deliver core features like realtime collaboration, invites, budgeting, and notifications.
  • Support you with onboarding, troubleshooting, and travel readiness tips.
  • Analyze aggregated usage patterns to evolve HonuTrip, always with privacy guardrails.

Sharing & third parties

Trip details stay private to the people and workspaces you grant access to. We rely on vendors for hosting, analytics, and support; each vendor signs data-protection agreements that match these terms.

  • Infrastructure is hosted in the EU and US with encrypted storage and backups.
  • Analytics focus on anonymized product signals—never your itineraries or expense details.
  • If required by law, we may disclose limited data, but we will notify you when permissible.

Your controls & retention

You can export trips, delete workspaces, or remove members any time. Deleted items land in a soft-delete queue for 30 days before permanent removal so accidental changes can be reversed.

Security commitments

HonuTrip encrypts data in transit and at rest, enforces scoped service access, and performs regular audits. We follow travel industry best practices to safeguard confirmation numbers, invoices, and personal details.
